After setup finishes, open PS-pocketEdge. On your own computer you go straight in without signing in, the same way Docker Desktop works. Your computer already appears under Servers, because setup installed and connected its agent.
Finding your way around
The menu on the left holds every part of the app. On a narrow window or phone it moves to the bottom, with the less-used items under More.
- Servers — the machines running an agent, with their live resources.
- Container Management — every container on every server.
- Alerts — containers breaking your rules or behaving unusually.
- Images, Networks, Volumes — what is stored on each server.
- Deployment Management — Compose files, deployment history, Git, approvals.
- Databases — the database marketplace and your running databases.
- Kubernetes — connected clusters, workloads and Helm releases.
- Users and Settings — shown to administrators only.
The resource bar
The thin bar along the bottom of the window shows the selected server's total CPU use, RAM used out of installed RAM, and disk space used on its main drive. It refreshes every ten seconds and stays visible on every screen. Click the server name in the bar to measure a different server, or click Terminal to open a shell on that server.
Run your first container
- Open Container Management and click Create container.
- Choose your server, enter an image such as nginx:latest, and give the container a name.
- Under Ports, map a host port such as 8080 to container port 80.
- Click Create. The container appears in the list as Running.
- Open http://localhost:8080 in your browser to see it working, then open the container in PS-pocketEdge to see its logs and live resource usage.
