macOS says the app cannot be opened
The installer is not yet notarized by Apple. If you downloaded it from the PS-pocketEdge website and the checksum matches, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. Do not turn off Gatekeeper.
Windows shows "Windows protected your PC"
The installer is not yet code-signed. Click More info, then Run anyway. If setup stops after asking you to restart for WSL, restart and run the installer again; it continues from where it left off.
A server shows as disconnected
- Make sure the machine is on and its container runtime is running. On a Mac, Colima or the Podman machine must be started after each login.
- Check that the machine can reach the control plane on port 8443.
- On a Mac, the agent log is in ~/Library/Application Support/PSpocketEdge/agent.log.
Disk or RAM shows a dash in the resource bar
Older agents only report percentages. Update the agent and control plane to see used and total sizes. Readings from an offline server are marked as last reported.
My deployment is not running yet
Its environment may need approval or only allow changes in a maintenance window. Check Deployment Management → Governance → Approvals. An administrator can approve it or run it now.
A Git build fails
- The server must be enrolled with --allow-builds.
- Dockerfile features such as RUN --mount need Docker Buildx on the server. The build log says which builder was used.
I cannot upload or edit a volume file
Files are limited to 1 MiB, and editing or uploading needs every container using the volume to be stopped first.
The login screen appears on my own computer
If the app opened before the control plane had started, choose Use this computer without signing in. If Require login on this computer is turned on, sign in with your account; the login screen explains why automatic sign-in was refused.
A program does not work in the terminal
Terminals use a simple command line, so full-screen programs such as vim, nano or top do not work. Use commands like cat, tail and ps instead.
