Asset Management and Software Asset Management are separate from the CMDB (which is populated) — no assets, licenses, purchase orders, or contracts are pre-seeded, so both start empty.
Where to find it
- Top bar → Infrastructure dropdown → Asset Management
- Top bar → Infrastructure dropdown → Software Assets
What to try
- Asset Management: click + New Asset, or + New PO, or move an asset through its lifecycle states.
- Software Assets: click + New Catalog Product, then check the License Compliance tab.
This is one of the more sophisticated ITAM implementations in the category — real depreciation schedules and PO-approval logic sit behind the UI, not just CRUD.
